In the last couple weeks since my last update, we've just been keeping busy with school, preschool, and work. Unfortuntaly we've had a sick little girl, but we did find out the day before Halloween that she's has STREP, which obviously explains why she's been so grumpy!
We also think our Little Liam is teething. He's been drooling up a storm and biting things and pretty fussy.
On the 24th I was so excited because I got to see my best friend for the first time since her wedding over 5 years ago! She lives in Canada, and since we were in Arizona until a few months ago, our paths rarely crossed. A couple times we would miss each other as we both went home or by about a week in Boise, which was really upsetting. Needless to say, when she called and said she wasn't far from Ogden if I wanted to see her, I immediately was so excited that I didn't even bother to put makeup on and my house was trashed why she got there. I got to hold her newest baby, a little girl, and meet her two boys. We each have 3 kids now!
My kids have been keeping busy finding mischief. Eva brought her table and chairs into the room one morning while I was in the shower and I came back into the room to find her having a little tea party with all her baby dolls. I love how girly she is!!
Now Connor, he spends his time doing things like flying down the stairs on his mattress. I will admit that Eva cried because she wanted to do it to but wasn't big enough to get her mattress down from her bed herself. I was sitting on and working on some cleaning when I heard a weird noise and turned towards the sound, only to see Connor on his mattress with a huge grin on his face. Ha!
Our little Liam has been getting so big and turning into SUCH a flirt!
Eva has been dealing with her strep, which explains why she was so moody and shy on some days. On this particular day, she was making her baby dance and was so embarrassed when she saw me watching her. I just wanted to see because it was so cute! But she didn't like that one bit.
On the 28th I took the kids to the ward Halloween party that was going on over at the church. We walked over there with the kids all cute in their costumes. I wasn't in a costume, but there was a smile on my face which hid my exhaustion! ;-)
On the 29th Connor got to take his costume to preschool with him. He was so excited about it! Eva insisted on taking her costume with her since brother had his.
The weather has definitely been cooling off. It's been pretty chilly outside when we take Connor to the bus, so I pulled out Liam's adorable bunting suit that I bought him as soon as I realized Utah gets cold, so it was a practical purchase rather than a silly one like it always was when we were in AZ.
Doesn't he look so kissable and cute?
The 30th we had Liam's 2 month (he's already 3 months though, we are just behind schedule) well visit. His first time at our new pediatrician!
His stats are:
12 lbs 15 ozs - 13th percentile
25 inches - 67th percentile
His doc has some concerns about his low weight, but we are going to keep doing what we're doing and see how he measures at his next appointment.
We had Eva looked at as well, which is when we found at she has strep. We were happy to hear that she would be free to trick-or-treat as long as we started her antibiotics right away and she was on them for 24 hours before hand.
For weeks I had been planning a visit to the corn maze but something always came up. I knew our last chance was Friday the 30th, and since Connor didn't have preschool and Caleb didn't have work, we took advantage of it and went.
The kids loved it!
Connor wasn't near as thrilled about picture taking as he was about the ride he got!
Caleb took a daddy/baby selfie with Liam on the ride, too.
The bounce house was another exciting part. Connor was having so much fun he didn't want to even do the maize! (yes I know it's maze, but this place is called the corn maize, so they spell it maize).
See how much my boy wasn't in to the picture thing again? Haha!
It was starting to rain a bit just as we finished the maize, so we grabbed a couple more pictures on our way out and did a few more slides on the big slide before heading home.
Connor and Eva really loved making "music" on this!
On Halloween I had Eva and Connor paint their pumpkins while I carved the other three.
We took the kids trick-or-treating in a nearby neighborhood (thanks to friends who let us park infront on their house and hit their whole street!!!)
I was originally going to stay home and hand out candy while Caleb took the kids, but we weren't getting many trick-or-treat-ers so I decided to go with them. It ended up being good that I went because Eva wanted to be carried a lot of the time. Caleb had Liam in the baby carrier and was holding Connor's hand, so he wouldn't have been able to do it all himself. We were happily going down the street (only avoiding the houses with lots of kids that made Connor stressed), when Connor announced he was ready to be done. His exact words were "I done. 1 more, then go home!" We were pretty stunned by it, but we didn't argue.
Caleb went to a party after we got home, and I got these cute kids in bed!
I was planning to end this on a Halloween note, but I figure I'll throw in the last couple days.
Yesterday my parents came down and brought us some exciting things! Connor didn't get to see them since he had preschool, but Eva was thrilled to see her "apapa" (grandpa), and gave Grandma lots of hugs. and Liam gave them tons of grins!
One of the things they brought was a TABLE! It is from Parker & Katelyn, and boy were the kids thrilled to sit at a new, big table! For anyone that didn't know, we literally only had a card table. It was cute, but not really suited for more than 4 people. Ha! Thanks, Parker & Katelyn! And thanks Mom & Dad for bringing it down to us!
Today I had a terrifying day. Connor almost got hit by a car backing out. It's a long story, and one that makes my heart race just thinking about it, but I'm happy to say all my kiddos are safe and happy despite this incident! Liam and I ventured out in the cold, rainy weather to wait for Connor's bus after preschool while Eva took a nap inside.
That's all for now!
