IT'S A GIRL!!!!

On monday the 26th we finally had our big anatomy scan where we could find out the gender of out little one coming in April. we were exactly 19 weeks along. all that day i had been fantasizing over how much fun a girl would be, and then i told myself to knock it off because i didn't want to be sad and disappointed if it was going to be another boy. so, instead i told myself just to expect a boy. At the beginning of the ultrasound our little one was being shy and i was worried we wouldn't be able to find out at all! Caleb said to just relax and let the tech do her job. i was watching intently, but when she said "it's a girl!" i was so excited i nearly screamed! i was like "are you serious!?!?!?!?! oh my goodness i'm so excited!!!!!" Caleb cracked up and the tech thought it was funny too. i told her she made my day by telling me that lol. So we now know that we are expecting a baby girl around April 22nd! and if you missed the memo, let me just tell you, WE ARE THRILLED! :)

And we were very happy that the tech said everything was looking normal and great! her heartrate was about 138. i guess our little girl breaks the norm of girls having higher heart rates hehe. she is quite an energetic little thing and kicks like little popcorn popping. Connor felt like butterfly wings fluttering against me. i have been able to feel kicks since week 16, and on Sunday i felt her kick when my hand was resting on my tummy! it was VERY exciting! of course when i called Caleb over to come feel she stopped. i kinda think she likes to tease her poor Daddy!!!
she was cracking me up in this...she's got her hands by her face like she's primping and getting ready for her picture!

her cute little feet! :)

she was all snuggled up, but not hiding her face! :)
It is so fun to see the differences of her personality compared to what Connor's was! :) we are undecided on a name right now, and honestly have barely discussed it. we are just taking our sweet old time deciding this time!!! we love our little girl! Connor loves to snuggle on my tummy. he doesn't understand what we mean when we tell him about his baby sister, but we are just thrilled he's going to be a big brother and will be able to look out for his sister! :) we are definitely counting our blessings!
