Last Sunday was mother's day. Caleb helped the kids make me some breakfast before church, and then we had a pretty good remainder of the day. All of the women in the ward got to go to relief society while the elder's quorum took over their callings. While there, we were given cheesecake -- which was, of course, delicious. It was quite a welcomed break! And Evelynn slept in my arms at church for the first time in quite a long time!
I wish I could say that my sweet little kiddos were thrilled about taking pictures with me, but alas, it was not so. They really weren't thrilled about it at all.
I consoled myself with the thought that the pictures are a lot like motherhood -- I'm tired, my kids are annoyed and unenthusiastic, I'm windblown and don't look my best, but I'm still smiling.
I'm grateful that I have these two sweet babies, and that I get to stay home with them.
On Monday we went grocery shopping when Caleb came home from work.
Not much of a family night activity, but we do what we can.
I took the kids outside to play while we waited for Daddy and they thought it was a blast.
I also must mention that on this day, Evelynn got her very first pigtails in her hair!
I thought she looked so precious that I started laughing when I finished, to which she gave me a rather adorable glare. She seemed to think laughing was an unacceptable response to her cuteness.
Another fun activity we did this week was sidewalk chalk. It has been such beautiful weather outside this week, in the 90's but not so hot that the sidewalk burns your feet.
Both kids thought this was THE COOLEST activity to do.
Yesterday, Thursday, the kids and I went swimming for the first time this year.
Connor had so much fun, and Evelynn seemed to really have fun when she got used to the idea.
The water was perfect for the weather that it was outside, not chilly at all, and about 95 outside.

I miss you guys! Hopefully someday we will be able to come visit you guys and all go swimming together! I am sure my kiddos would love to play with their cousins!
