October

In October, we took a little visit down to American Fork for a birthday party. The highway right off our house was shut down at a main intersection (the one we needed to go through to get to the freeway) and there was a life-flight helicoptor. We knew it must have beena pretty nasty wreck.

It was General Conference weekend (October 1st) so we got to have brunch in between sessions and then celebrate after. Cooper was very enthusiastic about helping with his cupcakes!

The next day the Fire Station had an open house for Connor's school. If you brought a can of food you got to get a ride in the firetruck. The kids were soooo excited! It took several tries to get a pic with Liam's face showing.

They also had the medical Helicopters there... the very same one we'd seen the day before. The kids wanted pictures in the yellow one though, not that one.

It was rainy and pretty cold, but what Connor really wanted to do was shoot the fire hose. He was so excited!

On the 5th, Evelynn's Preschool class learned about community people, including doctors. She got a cute little doctor's outfit to wear home.

On the 6th we got invited to go to a cornmaze pumpkin patch called Gibson's Green Acres with another family we are friends with.

The kids had a blast hunting for the perfect pumpkins to buy.

We got to get a little tour on a tractor-pulled ride, find our perfect pumpkins, do some playing and picture taking, and then we we in to the maze.

It was a super fun little treasure hunt. We were in there longer then we intended to be I think. By the time we managed to find our way out, the kids were all pretty exhausted.

We let them do a little playing in the corn before heading home.

October 12th was "When I grow up, I want to be..." day at Preschool. Evelynn said she wants to be a teacher, so we dressed her up and took pictures to document.

It was a bit of a jam-packed week for Evelynn because the next day she had her dance clinic performance.

We waited patiently through the first half of a football game before the half-time performance.

On the 17th, Evelynn's Preschool class took a fieldtrip to the Firestation.

The 18th was our Ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Daddy went with us so it was pretty cool.

The next day Caleb took a half day and we headed up to Idaho.

On Saturday morning my Dad treated us to Linder Farms. Some wonderful in-laws joined us as well!

Liam was puking off and on the entire trip, but he didn't start the puking til we were on the drive. We thought it was just car sickness, but it ended up not being.

We had planned to meet with my Mother-in-law that afternoon to go to the Meridian Temple Open House, but right before we got on the freeway, Liam puked all over the car. We had to turn around and go back to my parent's house and figure out what to do. In the end, she sat in our car with him while the rest of us got to go through.

Then we all met up at Smokey Mountain Pizza for dinner.

On the 25th Evelynn got to wear her Halloween Costume to Dance.

On the 28th I took Evelynn out somewhere with me, and she thought she looked so cute that she needed me to take a picture of her lol

I would also like it to be known that on this night, I caught a stomach bug and was super sick.

Sunday and Monday we did our pumpkin carving for Halloween. It took us two nights due to some issues and time restraints.

Halloween day/night will follow on another post!
