November

We started November off with a drive up to Logan. I'd never been up there before and the way the fog was sitting in the canyons was so magical! My cousin's little girl was being blessed that day and it was so fun to get to see her and meet her baby. And we even ran in to one of Caleb's cousins and her husband there, so it was an all-around fun little experience.

On the 8th I went in for an MRI. If you haven't already heard about that, you can catch up here.

On the 14th Connor's school had a free Skate Night and the Fun Center in Layton. We ended up just buy the seriously discounted passes for the bounce houses and letting the kids run loose in there. They loved it, especially our youngest daredevil of a child.

If you want to witness some shock and awe, take a look at this video of Liam. I thought he'd be scared like all the other kids his age or at least hesitate. Boy was I wrong!

Connor loved it all too. Evelynn prefer traditional bounce houses to falling in a pit of foam blocks, but I think over all they all enjoyed themselves tremendously.

A few days later I woke up with a sore throat and feeling like I swallowed marbles. I just knew I had strep throat. I was so grumpy when I took the kids to school but then I came back home (thankfully it was Caleb's Friday off) and told him I was calling the doctor and going in. I took Liam with me as well as Evelynn. I didn't get to see who I usually see, so I just told them whoever could fit me in worked fine. Evelynn screamed like a maniac the whole appointment and I'm pretty sure the doctor thought I was hurting her. She came in asking "What is going on in here???" Then scared her in to silence. I probably would have found the entire thing a lot more humorous if I wasn't feeling so miserable. The test came back positive so I could no longer way I'd never had strep throat before.

I was down for most of the weekend before I started to feel functional again. Unfortunately on Sunday my Connor started to look unwell and he said it hurt when he swallowed. I decided to take him in first thing Monday.

Because we had plans to head to Idaho for Thanksgiving, we knew that it was important to catch the strep and get antibiotics in him in time before spreading it around to everyone.
Like I suspected, it came back positive. Poor kid! He's always struggled with antibiotics (and even general pain reliever) because he doesn't like the texture. He gags on it and half the time ends up puking. Because of that history, we decided it would be best to just give him a shot so we knew the right amount of antibiotics were in him.

On Tuesday the 21st we took Evelynn and dropped her off at her Preschool party and then took Connor to his. I wasn't helping at this one, but Connor wanted to badly to go that I checked with doc and teacher to see if it was ok. They both said it was ok since he'd gotten the antibiotics in the day before and that he could stay as long as he wanted to. I just provided helping hands at the craft table before the party finished up and I went to get Evelynn from Preschool.

The morning class had Pilgrim outfits and the afternoon class were Indians.
How cute is my little Indian?

It looks like their Feast was a blast!

Wednesday we headed up to Idaho.

Bright and early Thursday my boys headed off with the rest of the Barthlome men to go pheasant shooting. I told Caleb to get some pictures for me and he did manage a few.

I had some assignments and a huge test I needed to take so I missed out on the girls day while the boys were out, but we did all get to meet up for dinner at the Barthlome house.
(I've stolen this picture off Facebook. I was having a very difficult day and pictures were the last thing on my mind)

On the 25th we met up with Grandma Anderson and Aunt Shandrie to see the lights in Caldwell.

On Sunday we snagged pictures of all the girls before we had to head home to Utah.

We got home that afternoon and late that night Shandrie and her best friend came to help out with the kids while I got my spinal tap. It wasn't the best experience so it had me down the remainder of the month.
