The Start of March...

It's March! February seemed to go by much too quickly. March has brought us a lot of fun things, but before i tell you about that, i'll just give you a peek at the cuteness that was found the last few days of February that i forgot to include in my last post.

worn out from playing on the playground!

being cute during his nap

watching Thomas after breakfast!

March brought us several fun things, like i said. One of which was my renewed craving for fruit parfaits! i ate them sooo much the very first part of my pregnancy, but when all the morning sickness hit i couldn't stomach the sight of them, or anything else really! the other day i had craving for one that i just couldn't suppress. so i made a gigantic sized one! and Connor made me share it with him. it was sooo yummy on my tummy!

March has also brought us weather warm enough for a trip to the pool! Our new place has two pools and hot tubs, but only one pool is heated. We took my friend Marne down to use the hot tub and i had only intended to dip my feet in the water, but after i put my feet in the nice cool pool, i just HAD to get in. it was wonderful! it was nearly 80 outside and the pool water wasn't much cooler than that, so it felt AMAZING! i have never gone swimming when i have been hugely pregnant before, and it was so relaxing to have some of that pressure off my back and hips and tummy!  And Connor thought it was soooo fun to swim! he played fetch with the beach ball with Marne's daughter, and thought it was hilarious to climb over the little wall between the hot tub and pool, and to get out of the pool and run from Mom! He sure is a little Arizona baby!

Another March obsession...crafting. specifically, making headbands for our baby girl! Caleb hasn't wanted me to over-work myself since i've been trying to get over whatever was going on with me last week, so i have seemed to transfer my nesting energy towards making cute things for our little girl. I have been spending a good amount of time on pinterest learning different flower techniques and trying them out. and i've been having a blast! i have several more i want to do, but these are what i have done so far. Some of them aren't completed yet, but i'm still showing them since i'm proud of my efforts! i had to make sure not to make them too big or Caleb makes fun of them!

i have been doing a very good job of wearing my poor boy out lately! he gets so tired that he falls asleep in the oddest of places, like on the kitchen floor. poor kid! he is dealing with a horrible diaper rash this week and so he has been quite irritable and emotional! he sure is cute though.

Since it's Wednesday, we had another Doctor's Appointment today to follow up with last weeks infection. I was hoping we would hear that it was all cleared up, but my urine sample still showed traces of blood. i finished up my antibiotics this morning, so my doctor said to just continue to drink A LOT of water, and it should hopefully be better by next appointment. Baby's heartrate was on the low side, but the ultrasound didn't show any signs of distress, so the doctor said not to be too concerned. yesterday baby was enjoying bumping into my cervix over and over and OVER again, and it was NOT enjoyable! we are just glad to hear everything is going well. we go back in two weeks for our next appointment and will update more then!

Last month was a bit stressful for us, but i'm happy to say that March has been good to us so far! We finally were able to meet our new ward and were welcomed with open arms. we went to the wrong ward the first two weeks, but no one really talked to us there so we didn't mind finding out that we belonged somewhere else instead! this new ward was very friendly and incredibly welcoming, and so far we love it. But even better news, is that Caleb had a job interview last week for a great company. The position would bring in more income, better hours, and just be a whole lot better for us! He felt that it went really well and was waiting to hear back for a second interview, and we were so excited when he got called for one! His interview was yesterday, and once again, he felt like it went really well! They had told him he should hear back by the end of the week, but it didn't even take 1 1/2 hours before he got another call telling him they were offering him the job! We are so excited and proud of him! He starts the new job on Monday! :) We are so grateful for the blessings that have come our way recently, and appreciate all the thoughts and prayers our loved ones have offered!

  1. Hey Becky!
Hope things are ok with you and your baby, I can imagine that would be pretty scary (sorry I'm slow reading about your family and what's going on--life gets crazy). When are you due? I saw that Malynn had her little boy and he is precious, I love my friends cute kids. It's crazy and fun at the same time to see everyone grow up! Good luck with Connor and his independency :)
