The End Is In Sight!

We are down to less than a month before our little girl arrives (hopefully!!! oh pretty please don't come late!).  We have finally started to get things ready for her. She has clothes now thanks to family and a wonderful friend that has a very nice sister! i was quite excited to wash it all and put it away. And Caleb finally realized we should probably buy her a bassinet  now. We had been planning to and just hadn't done it yet, because Connor uses the crib as a toddler bed, and we are going to keep the baby in our room for the first several months at least anyways. He told me to pick out whichever i wanted and he would get it for me. i decided to get a 5-in-1 that can attach to your bedside like a co-sleeper. with Connor i HATED getting out of bed constantly and wished i could have him right there beside me so i wouldn't have to move as much during the night the first several weeks. i feel like this will make my life a whole lot easier! We still need to rearrange our room (we have procrastinated that since we have been waiting to get the bassinet) and i want to get some cleaning and organizing done before baby arrives. i've also been considering making freezer meals, we just don't have much room in our freezer haha. i'm slowly beginning to compile a to-do list for the next almost 3 weeks!

My nesting was at an all-time high since i last posted. i did my very best to distract myself, but still limit the amount of headbands i'm acquiring for my little girl. i made just a couple more, and i have finally managed to call it quits on the headbands. i made a few nylon headbands and some flowers on clips so i can switch them up if i want to. The camera on my phone is crappy, but i have had fun. i counted the amount of options she has now and Caleb was shocked! what baby needs over 30 headbands?!?!?! luckily i have made them all different sizes so some are for when she is older and has a bigger head haha.

Unfortunately for my hubby, when i ended my headband obsession, i found a new project to experiment with. He is so patient with me and this nesting thing! i learned how to make baby shoes! my first attempt was mainly to see if i could even manage to make what i wanted. but then it turned out so cute that i had to try another set of a different style. i was quite proud of myself for this project because i had to alter the pattern to make them the way i wanted and changed up the entire last half of steps because i didn't want any seams showing inside the shoes. i felt that was tacky, and i knew how to do it so that the entire thing would be enclosed, so i just did it my own way. i am glad my mom put so much effort into teaching me the basics of sewing as i grew up! It allowed me to figure out my own pattern for the second pair of shoes i attempted. they weren't near as easy, but considering the fact that i made it up out of my own head and i've never had a real sewing class, i think i did just fine. and what matters is that i had fun doing it!

The last two days i have seen a significant decrease in my energy and enthusiasm to do ANYTHING, including my last project i had planned. I decided last week i really wanted to make a white baby blessing dress for our little girl. and what better time to do it than now, when i'm only dealing with one crying child, and i still have a bit of nesting energy around. when we blessed Connor i made him a cute little white outfit with the help of my mom. and the pattern had a baby dress for girls too. i pulled it out and decided that i would just use that pattern with a few changes (i despise the collar, and am ditching it!). i'm not doing a bonnet, or using their shoe pattern (i like the one i made for myself better!) my mom sent me for fabric that she had, and i was thrilled to get started. i needed to by lace and ribbon to trim it, but Caleb wasn't too enthusiastic about us going to JoAnn's (i waste alot of time and money in that store!!!) so i didn't get to actually start the dress until this week. As well as making a dress, i am making one last headband and one more pair of shoes to match. I got my shoe and headband ideas off of pinterest. maybe i should figure out how to link them all,but i'm too lazy to right now. so here are some pictures of my plans. i will probably ditch the feathers on the headband, but who knows.

Because i haven't gotten the dress completed yet or the even started the headband, i don't have pictures of those. but i did make the little shoes last night! i think they turned out cute. the flash on my camera makes them look a bit weird, but oh well.

I have been having a pretty easy end of this pregnancy so far. up until now i have still managed to find time to get "cute" on sundays before church, and i have only had occasionally cravings. One of which was this delicious snow cone. i got a ginormous one and ate the entire thing! yum! My good also came over to swim with us recently and we had alot of fun! but, we did get our first sunburns of the year. my prego brain forgot all about sunscreen and thought it wasn't sunny enough for one!

Connor has been feeling a bit off this last week or so and hasn't wanted much to do with pictures, only phone calls to Grandma! But, i manged to get one cute one after he discovered his love of chocolate pudding, haha!

The 27th was our 3rd Anniversary! We didnt' do much for it besides going out to dinner. And Connor wasn't too interested in eating so i spent the last half of the meal attempting to distract him by taking pictures of himself! he's a silly kid.

We had a doctor's appointment that afternoon that went well. Baby got annoyed with the Doctor listening to her heartbeat and kicked it REALLY hard until she stopped! we all started laughing. it's been a while since she's been so feisty! i guess its all the otter pops i've been eating hehe. We will hit full term on Monday! my blood pressure was up a bit at the appoinement, but i'm pretty sure it's from stress. she said to watch out for headaches or other unusual things, but that if i have any labor signs to just head over to L&D and not even worry about calling. it was exciting to hear that!

Caleb hates taking pictures, but i begged him for a quick one to document our three years of marriage! luckily, he loves me, so he agreed. :) then Connor took some pictures with us, because that is SUPER fun!

it has seemed like the last three years have gone by SUPER fast. but, time flies when you're having fun!!!
