Since my last post, we have had quite a few things happen. First of all, Evelynn got bumped up a clothing size! i finally decided that i shouldn't continue to squeeze her into outfits, no matter how cute they were and how much i loved them. I had taken her shopping a couple weeks ago to get new clothes just for this moment, but i still dreaded it. i'm a bit ashamed to admit that i couldn't part with the favorite outfits just yet so they are still in her dresser, but i can also say that i had quite a bit of fun with her new outfits (and Daddy likes them because they're not pink! haha!)! Because of that, there are quite a few pictures of Miss Evelynn on this post. Please don't be offended by it, i really do love both my children equally! Mr Munchkin hasn't been very willing to stand still for pictures lately, but i will explain that furthermore later in the post.
Two weekends ago, right after my last post, it was drill weekend. It was rather chaotic and i ended up missing church and being home with the kids while Caleb was gone. I was feeling stressed and grouchy, but it wasn't the worst thing ever. After Caleb came home he had his things in a pile on the ground waiting for them to be washed and his boots were still in the middle of the floor. i was folding some laundry and looked up to see Connor trying to walk around in his Daddy's boots! It was so cute that i HAD to get a picture!
I have mentioned multiple times how much Connor loves to help his sister. This week he kept going and getting bottles out of the fridge and trying to give them to her cold and also when she was sleeping. it was hilarious, but also, oh so cute! What a sweet big brother he is!
Last time i posted i had a picture to show of Connor's Chocolate Kisses on his sister's face, but it wasn't very clear. this time i made sure to grab a clear picture to share! it's a cute little memory i don't want to forget!
Of course, we've had our fair share of Connor mischief lately too. Connor has started using the drawers in the kitchen to climb up onto the counters! he used to just push the chairs over, but we have been trying very hard to convince him not to do that so i guess he just decided he needed an alternate plan! now i'm trying to teach him that is also not a good plan.
and of course, theres the makeup messes. he can't seem to stay away from that trouble! he knew he wasn't supposed to get into it so he tried to hide so i couldn't see and wasn't happy that i got out the camera!
i much prefer this CLEAN cute little face instead of the other, hehe.
And this is just Connor being silly and making me laugh!
As most of you know, i'm planning to go back to school this Fall! i completed most of my application a couple weeks ago, but it wasn't until this last week that i was able to get in to get my ecclesiastical endorsement. the priority deadline was august 1st so i knew i was cutting it close, but i was able to get both interviews done on the evening of the 31st. It didn't take long after that to get my email notifying me that i was accepted! i had to take a picture to record my excitement! yay for going back to school! i just registered for a couple classes and and very excited about it!
Recently Evelynn developed a cute little habit that we adore. She will stick her feet up every time she is in her bouncer to rest her feet on the toy bar. then she will use her feet to pull on the toy to make music. it's hilarious!
She has also started sucking her thumb! She is loosing interest in the pacifiers she used to love, and then decided her thum was perfect for sucking! Connor sucked his fingers, not his thumb, so we find this habit rather amusing and cute!
My poor kids have both been sick the last several days. I was sure Connor had an ear infection this weekend but of course was unable to get him in to the doctor until yesterday. i was right though, he has a double ear infection. he has a fever, yucky nose, cough, and was extrememly grouchy and not sleeping well. We plan to take him to an ENT next week to discuss putting tubes in his ears to stop this constant roller coaster of illness! Evelynn came down with something too and wanted to constantly sleep and had very little interest in eating. On Sunday she started sneezing yucky snot all over like her brother, but the doctor yesterday said there are no ear infections, so we are happy about that. She was also put on antibiotics too to help clear it up.
On Sunday both my sick babies just wanted to snuggle. We sure love them and love that they are best buddies!
I painted Evelynn's toenails again this weekend! i thought it looked adorable but Caleb said i torture her. silly husband!
Yesterday i asked Caleb to get out the Jumperoo bouncer from our storage room and set it up. Evelynn is almost big enough for it! She hasn't shown any interest in standing yet, but i wanted to try it out and she seemed to enjoy just lounging in there and occasionally giving a little bounce!
Our girl still loves her swing just as must as ever! i decided to attach the activity bar back to it since she has started showing more interest in those things, and she liked staring at herself in the mirror this morning! i don't blame her for it, because she is pretty darn cute!
