More August

This is a run-down of the things we did since my last post.
On Saturday (the 16th) our little cutie fell asleep in her bouncy bouncer! She was so tired! We though it was hilariously cute. Connor used to do that too!
just for fun...Connor at 10ish months!
On Sunday we had church as usual. Daddy took this adorable picture of Miss Evelynn in her carseat! Doesn't she have the sweetest little smile?
When we got home from church she was sooo tired!

Lately we have been noticing Evelynn's eyes changing colors. We had wondered if they would stay blue, but they're starting to look similar to how her brother's looked when they turned brown. We think they are quite pretty no matter the color!
Connor's eyes at almost 3 months - turning brown.
On Tuesday i was stressed. BUT my little girl was dressed so bright and cheery that i couldn't help but sing to her "You are my SUNSHINE!" Brother wasn't too fond of the singing though, so we stopped.

On Wednesday Mommy did lots of cleaning and talked to Aunt Minda on the phone a lot! Evelynn must have been bored because she kept yelling for attention and was lounging with her feet up in her silly little way!

On Thursday (the 22nd) Evelynn turned 4 months old! Mommy was sidetracked all day long so we didn't take pictures on that day other than these ones of her playing!

These are some facts about Evelynn at 4 months:
She doesn't like her pacifier anymore and prefers her thumb!
She LOVES tummy time.
She doesn't like rolling over.
She doesn't care to stand.
When she is on her back on the floor she can do a 360 and turn herself in circles!
Her eyes are changing colors.
Her hair seems to be growing.
She wears 3-6 month clothes.
She wears size 2 diapers.
She loves her swing.
She likes baths.
She "talks" a lot!
Loves to giggle.
Is learning to bounce in her bouncer.
She loves her big brother!
and she loves daddy and mommy!

On Friday Mommy took the kids to the park after going to the mailbox. Connor did NOT want pictures taken. Evelynn got to feel grass for the first time (it was very short lived though).

We had gone to the mailbox specifically to mail a letter and some pictures to Aunt Jessie on her mission in New York, but Mommy somehow forgot to drop off the letter when she got the mail. It was quite humid outside and cloudy, so it was decided that we would go to the the playground. It was fun at first, but then Mommy started to feel too warm and wanted to go inside. Connor did NOT like that idea though, and Mommy had to carry him back like a potato sack! Half way back she decided he might not fight her so much by kicking and screaming if he was getting a piggy back ride. So, without missing a step, i grabbed him and swung him up  and over onto my back and told him to hang on! He was thrilled, but Mommy wasn't. It was hot, i was already pushing a stroller and carrying a baby on front of me, the last thing i wanted was a toddler on my back! BUT, a mommy does what she has to do.
We had yummy otter pops when we got inside, then naps.

We had lots of cleaning to do after snacks and between lunch time, so we completed some chores and then took pictures that i will post on a separate entry! Connor thought he was the most helpful kid ever!

When Daddy came home Connor was so excited! He went running around and must have tripped and face planted into the computer desk, because we heard him scream, heard a crash, and then saw blood pouring from his nose! He was so upset and crying about his "nose! nose! noooooosssseeee!" I had a small laugh when he wanted cold water to make his foot feel better and then was spashing it all over his nose. The was just the cure Grandma West would have given! Cold water cures everything, didn't you know???

We also had a HUGE laugh at our little Connor man. I managed to capture some images of this incredibly obnoxious habit he has! we think he learned it from Marty the Zebra from Madagascar.
HE SPITS WATER OUT!
He was trying to do it at church on Sunday!!!!
Caleb told me my picture taking was just encouraging the bad habit. It's so hard not to laugh at this kid's excitement though!
Here is his easy, 5 step directions for it:
step one: get a gulp of water from a water bottle
step two: spit the water out
step three: look innocent as water is flying about
step four: laugh hysterically in pride of your work
step five: repeat
He sure knows how to keep us on our toes!

Last but not least, i got a video of Evelynn's cute giggle!
It's not the best since the camera on my phone is glitchy, but it's still worth a watch!
