Beginning September

 September has started!
We began the new month with all being sick. We thought it was allergies, but who really knows. It knocked us flat for multiple days so it was not fun at all!
I finally started to feel better this week.

Labor Day was my first day actually being able to function! Caleb spent it sleeping off and on all day, which is how i knew he really, REALLY, didn't feel well. I knew we wouldn't do anything fun on his day off so i decided to do something that i would think was fun! i made Evelynn a dress!
I always see cute tutorials on Pinterest of baby girl dresses and more often than not, they make their own pattern. I decided if they can do it, I can do it! I made a pattern and pulled out old fabric from my Homecoming Dress, and then i got to work.

Here was the end result. i was pretty impressed with myself!

Also on Labor Day, Evelynn started sitting by herself! I was so proud of her! I kept thinking she had to be leaning on something but she wasn't. Is she a big girl or what?!

Yesterday after Zumba it was my goal to get the house cleaned up after a weekend of doing hardly any cleaning! The kids helped me. I appreciated it!
Here are some cute pic's of the kiddo's!

Here is Connor being silly and playing where his toys belong. He loves to sit in boxes. He's very good at saying "box".

And here is our cute little Evelynn bouncing in her Jumperoo! She has finally decided bouncing is fun. She used to not like to bounce, but now she does it!
We had a funny little discovery...When Evelynn stands she curls her toes under and tries to stand on them! She refuses to stand flat-footed. We think it's hilarious. Maybe we will end up with a little ballerina!

This morning we had a playdate with my good friend who i do Zumba with. We went swimming and hung out! The kids had so much fun. I was worried about juggling both kids in the pool but decided to try to put Evelynn in Connor's old floaty. She loved it! She just lounged in it without making a peep and eventually doozed off.
Connor wore his lifevest with no problems and didn't even try to jump in without me around him. He wanted to swim by himself, but i tried to make sure i always had one hand on him, and one on Evelynn.

We had tons of fun playing and only ended the day when the kids got tired and Connor started being a bit of a bully. He kept pushing which he doesn't usually do. He fell asleep pretty quickly after returning home though.

That sums up what we have done this week so far! Tomorrow is Daddy's birthday though so hopefully we will have a good time and do something fun.
