I think it's time that I posted.
And i will warn you it's going to be a photo bomb.
But...it's going to be AWESOME!
First of all, I've been super busy because I started school this week. STRESS!!!! It's hard, but i'm enjoying it. All my discussion boards asked for pictures... so I attempted to have Caleb take a picture of me. It was a bit of a fail, so i never used the pictures. But you can still see anyways. Look! I'm smiling!
Also, I've lost 10 lbs! I still have a ways to go, but I'm telling myself "i rock!!!"
Evelynn is still working on her sitting up. She seems to do it when I don't want her to, and when I do want her to... she flops over. What a goof!
We had a lovely storm here last week. It rained and rained. I took Connor to the mail with me that evening and wanted to show him how the puddle was so deep in the parking lot that it was up to the bottom of cars! He decided it was perfect for splashing in...and laying down in...what a boy he is.
We also had some "excitement" last week, when we woke up to find that we were taped inside a DO NOT CROSS zone. it went from the bottom of our stairs to a couple apartments over, and completely had us stuck in the area. Caleb had a cop lift the tape so he could drive out for work, but didn't get an explanation. There was a forensics van and several cop cars, but no one ever gave us an explanation as to what was going on, even when i took the trash outside. WEIRD.
The other weekend i got to help out for a baptism and lead the music. it was my first time doing it! i was super nervous. The kids and Caleb went with me and looked so cute all dressed up! When we got home i had to take all sorts of pictures of their cuteness.
The next day Evelynn wanted to play all through Church. She refused to eat and wanted to smile at herself in the mirror in the mother's lounge!
Can you say "silly?????"
Just a bit of FYI for you all...Evelynn CAN SCOOT! who the heck gave her permission to do that?!?! She can go in circles on her back and thinks it is sooo much fun! She still loves her tummy more though.
And another thing...SHE IS TRYING TO CRAWL!!! It's definitely in scooting stage still...but she can move in a two foot area and turn whatever way she wants! She was after her toys and Connor wanted to help in these pictures. CUTE, right?!?! This week she has really been working at it. I think she will be crawling soon. i'm not looking forward to it. these pictures are about a week after the previous ones. She's learned so much in just a weeks time!
This last Saturday (the 14th) I finally moved Evelynn from her bassinet to her crib. She was waaaay too long for it. She would roll into the sides at night and wake herself up. I had procrastinated because we were using it set up as a toddler bed for Connor. I wasn't sure how he would transition, but he did great! He was so excited to climb in sister's crib and play!
Evelynn is loving her crib and Connor is loving his "big boy" bed! Yay for kids transitioning to new beds!
On Sunday we had Stake Conference. The kid's both fell asleep during it, but Connor slept the most. We were wondering if he wasn't feeling well. He fell asleep on my lap, but i handed him off to Caleb so I could feed Evelynn, and when he woke up and I tried to take him again, it was NOT ok! He just wanted Dad.
Evelynn got the cutest dress last week. I did some hair cuts in exchange for clothes for her. I had to take some pictures because she looked ADORABLE!
Monday was my official first day of school. I got distracted with homework that evening and didn't see Munchkin pick up Eva from where she had been playing on the floor. I looked up just in time to see him trying to carry her.He tripped over her in the process and dropped her and she landed face first into a stool!
Needless to say...we all cried. :(
The next day while at Zumba, Connor accidently shoved a cardboard box into her face. She got cut by it on her cheek and has a scab now. we were sad she got another owie. :(
Wednesday brought another first. Evelynn has been wanting food lately and gets very grabby when she has any near her. She screams and yells when you take it from her too. So, we decided it was time to start solids. I had been determined to wait until 6 months, but she is really interested so i didn't see much point in fighting her about it.
Let me add that I make it so runny that it's more liquid than solid and she just slurps it off the spoon. I probably can't really call it "solid" haha. She loves it and steals her spoons to lick every last drop off!
*Warning ... Connor screeches really loudly at beginning!!!
Here are so cute pictures of my kiddo's. I actually got a couple smiles out of Munchkin! yay me!
And then here is a cute video of Evelynn jumping! And Connor pinching me while i take the video. That's what i'm grouching at him for in the beginning. :)
And last, but not least...who votes this headband is CUTE?!?!?!
Eva looks adorable in it!
