This week I don't have any pictures to share of my sweet Connor. He has been quite sick with croup and an ear infection. On Wednesday he was acting super tired all day and fell asleep on the couch at 7 pm which was extremely weird for him. I put him in his bed to sleep but Evelynn went in a woke him up less than an hour later. He wanted to lay in my bed and sleep so I let him. When he woke up at 11 he had a horrible sounding cough, like a seal barking. He was breathing funny as well and it was very raspy. I was worried he couldn't breathe. He wanted to go back to his bed to sleep so I tucked him in. He woke up again about 4 am and came into our room. He sounded even worse than he had before and I was really stressed out.
I called my mom about 7:45 AM on Thursday while I waited for the pediatricians office to open. I was able to schedule him an appointment for 10 o'clock. When I took him in I was told it was croup and that he also had an ear infection on the left side. I was surprised because I didn't think he would get them anymore with the tubes in his ears. He was prescribed steroids for the croup and antibiotics for the ear infection. I have had to bribe him with candy to get him to take them both. His fever is gone today and we are very glad about it!
He has not wanted pictures taken so I haven't taken any of him. I don't want to torture him when he's already miserable! :(
Evelynn seems to have caught the illness today though. She has a fever and wants to sleep on my lap. We are hoping she doesn't get croup that is as bad as Connor's.
I found some pictures that I had not posted of her. She climbed onto this box and posed excitedly until we all came to look at her.
When I was putting baby stuff in storage I found Evelynn's old pacifiers that she has not used for several months. She picked it up and started chewing on it.
I had a bit of a deja vu moment when I snapped the pictures. Connor used to do the exact same thing.
I guess my kids only like pacifiers as chew toys.
For fun, here's a picture of Connor at almost the same age chewing on his pacifier.
What cute kids I have!
We have been busy lately because Caleb had to get a wisdom tooth pulled last weekend. He also needed a cleaning and because it had been so long it had to be a pretty intense one. He has been in pain and has to get some cavities filled next week.
I am halfway through my semester at school. I finished one class so I have a little bit more time to get things done now. I am planning to get pictures on our walls this week and then I will post pictures of our place!
