When my parents were down in Utah at the beginning of March, my mom suggested we come up for Easter. She was evening willing to bribe Caleb and I with the chance to have a night away from the kids, since our Anniversary happened to fall on Easter this year. After discussing it a bit, and me reminding Caleb that the only night's I've ever had away were when I was in active labor, we came to the agreement that we could definitely take her up on that offer.
We headed up to Idaho right around 8 pm on Thursday the 24th.
The kids were so thrilled when we arrived at Grandma and Grandpa's house!
The next morning the kids had a blast playing with the waffle block toys my siblings and I used to play with when we were little.
Liam also enjoyed some toys. He thought this little beehive was so cool! And a little truck.
After a couple hours cousins came over! All the kiddos got to help grandma make jello eggs, and they were thrilled!
Anniversary Getaway
Caleb and I headed out that afternoon to check into our room at Anniversary Inn in Boise. We relaxed for a bit watching tennis before realizing we needed to run to the store and then figuring out where we wanted to go to dinner.

We ended up going to Red Lobster for dinner and ate so much that we didn't even have room for our cheesecake until morning! We got to sleep in and relax, and my parents were so nice and didn't bother us at all about our kids, even though we later learned that Liam was up nearly all night, refused to take a bottle, and did not appreciate his baby food.
Saturday Adventures
That next afternoon we returned to my parents house and waited to see our kiddos. The two older ones had been having a blast and the zoo with Grandma Anderson, Aunt Katelyn, and Uncle Parker!

After they returned from the Zoo it was almost time to go to a birthday party for cousin Eli! The kids had been thrilled about the Minion party theme and couldn't wait.

After the party finished up we headed back to my parents house to do an Easter egg hunt with all the grandkids. It was so fun to watch them running around so excited!
We had a pretty jam-packed Saturday, because after eating a bit of food we headed right over to Grandma Anderson's house for dinner and Easter celebrations.

After our little egg hunt, Caleb and his sibling went and played some tennis while the kids stayed with Grandma, me, and Aunt Katelyn. We chatted and dyed Easter eggs and had a blast!

Easter Sunday
The kids woke up and were so thrilled to have even more candy waiting for them.
My parents have 9 am church, so the kids didn't get to play too much before I had everyone get ready. We let Caleb sleep in and only woke him up as I ran us out the door. I did remember to tell him Happy Anniversary though!

During Relief Society, which my mom was teaching, I got a little surprise visit from my bestie Kenzie who doesn't live in Canada anymore. Yay!
After church we all did annual Easter pictures, which is a tradition of my mom's.
We got some pretty cute little pics!

After church we stuck around long enough for food, packing, and a quick stop at Caleb's dad's on our way out of town. The kids are already counting down til our next visit with Grandma and cousins!
We hope everyone had as wonderful of an Easter as we did!
