Finishing February & Mainly March

Finishing February:

On the 24th, I had my first seriously concerning moment with our Little Liam. He had been sick for quite a while, but had begun to sound like a purring kitten with a lot of wheezing. I woke up that morning and panic started to creep into my heart when he was even worse than he had previously been, and I noticed his skin retracting around his color bone.

I called his doctor's office and let them know I was going to bring him in. The nurses in reception could hear his breathing and got my back as quick as we could. We did a breathing treatment, which only helped a little bit, and tested for RSV (which thankfully came back negative), and after a long visit, he was prescribed a liquid steroid, and a breathing treatment with a nebulizer every 4 hours for the next 4 days. He was SO sick, and I was extremely worried.

Our poor little girl was extrememly sick, too. The doc checked her ears, but they were fine, so we decided it was most likely just the same horrible virus making my poor babies so ill!

We did a follow up appointmnet that Friday and had to continue treatments for an additional 3 days, but then our little guy finally started getting better after those days!

This same week, as soon as Liam started feeling better, he started pulling himself to stand! He was so proud of himself, but it was bittersweet for this momma.

Mainly March Adventures:

The first weekend of March, my parents and littlest brother came down to Utah. They stayed with us the night of Friday the 4th. Grandma helped her Barthlome grandkids to make cookies while I did some haircuts, then after bedtime I did my moms hair. Liam wanted SO BAD to get that cookie dough!

That next morning my parents took us out to breakfast and we snapped some quick pictures.

That afternoon Caleb and his best friend took Connor and Evelynn to the model train convention that was going on downtown. The kids were SO excited!

Liam and I hung out at home, and for part of the time he slept which was awesome. It was so quite and I just sat and enjoyed no whining and crying of little kids.

Caleb went out with friends later that night, and Liam got into some icecream of his siblings and got SO MESSY. He ended up getting a bath in the sink after brother and sister were in bed.

I also had to document Evelynn's first full french braid.

And more of Liam's standing attempts! :(

On the 8th, it was so sunny and felt so beautiful outside that Connor wanted to play. Kids were riding bikes, so he wanted to ride his bike, too! I couldn't help him ride while holding Liam, too, so I convinced him to ride his scooter while Evelynn helped push Liam in a stroller.

On the 10th there was amazingly beautiful weather. It was nearly 70 degrees! So, after Connor came home from preschool that day we all went on a little walk to the nearby park.

On the 12th, while out running some errands, our Little Liam fell fast asleep in the cart.

Later Daddy helped Connor ride his bike, while Evelynn, Liam and I hung out and watched. And I obnoxiously took pictures like any adoring mother would!

Daylight Savings was the 13th, which as you know, we haven't had to deal with for 5 years since we were in Arizona. We all had major tiredness and schedules really thrown off!

On the 14th, Evelynn was introduced to hail for the first time. She was pretty excited.

On the 15th, it was coooooold outside again.

On the 17th it was St Patrick's Day! We all wore green, and Evelynn had her first set of french braids in her hair! I was pretty excited her hair has gotten long enough in the front to stay in the braids finally!

On the 18th, I couldn't resist snapping a picture of this cute little baby bear!

And he couldn't resist showing off his standing skills!

On the 23rd, we were working hard to finish up homework for the week, attend a bunch of meetings all week, and get some cleaning done so that we could prep for Easter in Idaho!
