Finishing March & Mainly April - Everyday Adventures + Idaho Visit

March 28th I opened the door to find snow on the ground. It was a bit crazy since It was supposed to finally be spring, but the kids just took it as a good thing and a super exciting surprise.

April started out sunny and warm. On the 1st Liam took it upon himself to go exploring, and boy was it fun to watch him sitting like a big kid and carefully touching everything he could. He's getting in to a lot of trouble lately, which is seen by the mess of oreos on his face that evening when he decided to eat his brother's potty training treats!

On the 9th one of my best friends was in town with her family. We decided to meet up at the Dinosaur park, which my kids were absolutely thrilled about! It was such a fun way to finish up Connor's spring break and celebrate me ending my semester!

The next Monday was a rather interesting one because I forgot all about Preschool starting back up after Spring Break ending. I realized a full 20 minutes after the bus should have arrived that we missed the bus! I had to rush everyone into clothes and get Connor across town to Preschool, but thankfully we were only abut 8 minutes late. We then got to run so errands that were desperately needing done.

Thankfully we remembered to get him off the bus at the normal time! We killed time while we waited by me teaching Evelynn about dandelion wishes. She had been running along her favorite path and a dandelion had grown and she stopped dead in her tracks and asked me "What's THAT, mamma?!?!" I guess she had never noticed a dandelion before or perhaps they were all just too shrived and friend in AZ. Either way, I loved seeing my little girl's excitement!

When Connor got off the bus he was anxious to play, too, and raced inside to get his scooter so he could play.

The 12th was another beautiful day although Liam was not so thrilled with the feeling of grass! I got a pretty good laugh out of his plank skills to try to keep as many limbs out as possible.

I also must note that my Connor Munchkin picked me a "wittle well-whoa" flower for the first time, and my heart just melted! Of course little sis followed in his footsteps as well. Such precious kids I have!

We were busily cleaning all day because we were prepping for a mommy & kids visit to Idaho. While I was cleaning I looked up to see the following thing happening:
I was so startled I didn't think to grab a video until the very end!

We headed out of Ogden about quarter to 11 the next morning despite the pouring rain, and got into my parent's house right at 3 pm. My kids were absolutely thrilled to get to play in Grandma and Papa's yard!

They also spent some time swinging with Grandma!

That night I did some haircuts. One of which was for my sister. So the next day we hung out the entire day and I decided to style my sister's hair for her to see if she liked the cut as much as I hoped!
I personally think it's super pretty!

Later that evening I went to a Relief Society activity with my mother-in-law while the kiddos got to hang out with their aunties. It was super fun! My little brother Michael and I chatted a ton later that night. If you haven't heard his news, he's joined up active duty Army and heads to basic training in September! He's heading to the same place Caleb did his basic training, so we really enjoyed chatting. I'm super proud of him and so excited for him!

Friday morning I had some crafting to do and some prep and errands for my sister's baby shower. While I was working on my little project, my oldest decided to turn his Uncle into his own personal slave. Haha! I think Uncle Michael got a good workout out of it though!

Later my brother was so kind and went to Costco with me and my kids to get supplies for the upcoming baby shower, and then he even watched my kiddos for me so I could run to Walmart without having to drag three kids with me. I seriously appreciate that guy and all his help!

That evening the kids and I went down to the Highschool to watch the girls dance. We didn't make it there in time to see Macie, but we did get to watch Shandrie! Macie was so sweet and kept the kiddos under control while I sat with Deanna. Evelynn was so excited to be there and would dance around to the music as the girls danced.

The kids even got to say hi to their Grandpa Barthlome at the end of the night. They were pretty tired by the time we got back to my parents, but when we got there Aunt Jessie and Uncle Todd had arrived and there was tons more excitement.

The next morning it was time for Melinda's baby shower! Jessica, my mom, and I had put in a lot of work into it and we thought it turned out awesome. We had the theme "Love You to the Moon & Back", did fruit pizza and crackers & cheese for refreshments, and had a couple games. It seemed like a good turnout and we were so glad so many loved ones of Melinda's came! Hopefully my sis still knows she was loved and thought it was as cute as we did!

I even had two of my best friends come to the shower and had an amazing time chatting it up with them! Look how cute we are with our babies?! Liam is the oldest, then Gwen (in the middle), then Ronin (on the left). SUCH a fun day!

We also thought it was hilarious that all the family present matched (NOT on purpose. Jessica's shirt tied me in, and both our brothers were in orange. ) Guess great minds think alike! ;-)

Grandma Anderson took Evelynn and Connor to buy their birthday presents during the shower which the kids were absolutely thrilled about! They seemed to have a blast during their Grandma time!

Sunday we headed home, but the kids made sure to get energy out by playing, playing, playing hard first.

Today when we went out to the bus I couldn't resist grabbing pictures of my cute little girl who's turning THREE in 3 more days! I'll be posting a blog entry just for her later next week.

Hope everyone has been having as great of a time as we have!
