A couple weeks before Evelynn's birthday, she told us she wanted a bike for her birthday. A princess bike. and it had to have a seat for her baby. We were using it as motivation to potty train (that, and "baw-weena" dance lessons) but we knew that's what we were going to do for her birthday.
She was so excited to wake up that morning and see her princess bike waiting!
After getting dressed, we went outside so Daddy could teach Evelynn how to ride her bike!
(I will note that she didn't have a helmet YET at this point, but she does now! Have no fear!)
Big Brother had preschool since it was a Friday, so eventually the bike riding had to end while we had lunch and got him off to school. When it was time to get him off the bus, Evelynn had the time of her life dandelion picking and blowing wishes!
After Preschool we did some playing. Evelynn enjoyed showing off her twirls!
Usually on Birthdays we take the kids wherever they want for dinner. With a 3 year old, it probably isn't too much of a surprise to hear this meant we ended up at McDonald's -- not near as exciting for the parents as it was for the kids!
After we got home we let Evelynn open her cards and presents from family before cake and icecream. Evelynn had wanted a ballerina cake. I don't have any cake decorating skills... so, we just kinda improvised. HAHA!
Evelynn had gotten some birthday money, so the next day I let her go to the store with me to pick out what she wanted to get with her money! She was so excited! A couple cards came late, so she ended up getting a Princess Dress that isn't in this picture, but that she equally adores!
Thanks to everyone who made her day so special! :-)
