Big "Firsts"

Well, it's been quite a while since my last post. We've been SO busy between Kindergarten pickups/drop-offs, soccer, dance, gym time, homework, my school work, oh, and attempting to keep the family fed and house half-way clean. I'm stepping away from the homework and cleaning today and going to focus solely on updating this blog.

First Day of Kindergarten:
Connor started Kindergarten on Aug 30th. He was so excited about it! We had found out just a few days before that we live in the walk-only boundaries, so he wasn't able to ride the bus. We don't live close enough to the school for walking him to be reasonable in the slightest bit, so I get the duty of pickup/dropoffs every day.

I couldn't decide on a favorite picture, so you get to see several!

When it was time to go inside, he wasn't nervous at all. He did let me go with him, though! And you see that yellow tag on him? That's the reason my pick-up only child was put on a bus the second day of school. If you haven't read the story on my Facebook book, that's where to find it. It was horrible!

First Soccer Practice:
We have been wanting to put Connor in sports, especially soccer, for quite a while. Back in April we registered him, and Aug 30th (the same day as Kindergarten starting) was his first practice ever! He was so excited about it.

 First Day of Dance:
Evelynn has been begging for dance classes for a solid year -- especially after potty training specifically so she would be able to. She was so happy when Daddy and I told her we would sign her up and register her.  Her first day of class was Sept 6th, and she was thrilled that she got to wear the leotard and tights she picked out!

Evelynn was pretty shy, but she loves it now and tells me "DON'T stay with me mommy, you leave me, please!" She even yelled at her dad when he went in to pick her up one day and was there a little early. She told him to go out. Hahaha.

First Soccer Game:
Connor's First Soccer Game was on September 10th. Since then he's gotten pretty good and this last weekend he kicked the ball multiple times and is getting much quicker! He's requested to play again in the Fall. He has one more game at the end of the month before his season is over.
