It has become a bit of a Christmas Tradition for us to go look at the Christmas lights the weekend before Christmas. It all started with Caleb's proposal to me on Dec 23rd, 2009, when he took me to see the lights at the Botanical Gardens. Because of that, Caleb took us down to see the beautiful lights at the Mesa Temple on the night of the 22nd. i hadn't thought to bring my camera, so we had to make do with Caleb's phone to grab some pictures to help preserve our memories! :) We had a great time, and enjoyed not freezing near as much as i did that night several years ago!
Despite my hatred of baking, i decided i wanted to make our Nursery kids some sugar cookies for the Sunday before Christmas. And i figured "Santa" would love to have a plate of cookies too! So i made some Christmas cookies, and Connor had quite a good time tasting them for me and helping me decorate! He refused to eat any that had frosting on them, and it was quite funny!
Another fun thing we got to do was see Caleb's brother for a little while! he had a layover in Phoenix so we went down to the airport expecting to hang out for a bit. To our surprise, his flight got delayed, so we ended up taking him away from the airport to find some dinner! Caleb had such a great time catching up with him. It has been 9 months since these two have seen each other!
The last of the pre-christmas celebrating was of course, Christmas Eve. Connor was very eager to help me take cute pictures of him while he dug into a plate of goodies we got from our home teacher! Sometimes i think he's too cute for his own good!!!!
After Daddy came home from work we had Connor open his Christmas Eve presents. He got Christmas PJ's (which he of course had to open so he could wear them to bed!) and a Thomas the Train Christmas Movie! He sat down with me and watched it before bed. He was alot more interested in that than the PJ's!
