MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

This post is for anyone who wanted a Christmas card from us, but didn't receive one. As much as we would love to send a card to every person we know and are related to, we just couldn't. but we would hate for anyone to feel left out! so please, consider this your card if you're one of those people!

And also, i fully intended to put a family newsletter in with our cards like i did last year, but i just didn't. so, i would like to just post our newsletter here, and hopefully anyone who cares to know what our family has been up to this past year can just read about it on here!

Barthlome Family Newsletter 2012

We are still here living in Mesa, Arizona. We keep pretty busy, but we are missing all of our friends and family back home! No matter how long we have lived far away, it doesn't lessen the amount that we miss everyone. We hope that this Holiday Season finds everyone well, and we can't wait until we will see everyone again!

Caleb has had a very busy year. He started out this year working full-time at the call center and attending classes at UAT full-time, as well as fulfilling his National Guard requirements. On top of that he has a part time at the Papa Murphy's down the street. After his semester finished up in March we decided that the upcoming rising of tuition was going to be too much for us, so he withdrew from school and has plans to go back to college once we return to Idaho. Since then he has been putting in over 70 hours a week working, and doesn't get much time off. The first half of the year he was putting in night hours at the call center, but after a very welcome schedule change, he had the chance to switch to a split shift during the morning and evening that allows for much more time at his part time job in the afternoons, and much more time home with us. We have thoroughly enjoyed having him home with us on Sundays the past several months, and Connor and I appreciate how hard he works each and every day!

I (Rebecca), am still home with Connor each day and love every second of it. I have been keeping pretty busy the last few months with two callings from the Ward, one of which is a Primary Worker (with Caleb as a teaching partner), and the other, the newer calling, as the Bear Leader for the Cub Scouts. We started out teaching the 10 year olds and found it to be very enjoyable, but it became too hard with Connor running around and not quite old enough for Nursery at the time, so we were switched to the Senior Nursery. We have been in there since this Summer and enjoy it very much. The Cub calling is definitely uncharted territory for me, but I'm doing my best to serve the ward in the way I was asked to. In my spare time I have been reading books and chatting on the phone with my family. However, I would say the majority of my time is spent cleaning up after a certain little boy!

Connor had his first birthday in May, and we enjoyed getting to celebrate with him. It is wonderful to see him learning and growing each and every day! He is quite an intelligent guy, and climbs like a little mountain goat. we can't keep him off of things! He loves to play with Lego's and find ways to make me crazy, and he loves reading books. This last month he was able to start going to Nursery, and does very well as long as his Daddy drops him off. My attempts to take him have not ended well at all! He also loves to watch his favorite shows and movies, of which include the Thomas the Train movies, Fireman Sam movies, The Little Engine That Could, Tarzan, and many, many others. Like his Daddy, Connor seems to already have a love of Technology and Electronics! He enjoys helping Caleb play his DS games, as well as his computer games. He knows exactly how to turn on and off things, and loves showing me how well he can do it! Lately he enjoys talking on the phone to both of his Grandma's, and also to his cousin Eli and Aunt Melinda. We just love his sweet spirit and are so glad we are his parents!

Our Family is very excited to be able to welcome a baby girl into our family this coming April. We have picked out a name for her, but are keeping it a secret this time! We are hopeful to move home to Idaho next fall as well, but it may be the following year. Nothing is set in stone yet, and it will all depend on if he can transfer his National Guard commitment. We have had some fun memories this past year which include our visit to Idaho we had in March, and the visit that we had from my parents in August! We enjoyed celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary in March, as well as Connor's 1st birthday in May, and the 1st anniversary of our family being sealed just last month in November. We have had some great memories this past year, and are looking forward to the new ones we will be making next year.

With Love,
The Barthlome Family - Caleb, Rebecca, and Connor
