Our Christmas Projects

I am not really a person that enjoys crafts and baking, but with my callings in the ward, i decided i didn't have alot of choice but to do  my best to do some fun holiday things. And of course, Connor had to help. The crazy little guy!!!

The first thing we did was for Cub Scouts. We had decided to do Christmas treats and deliver them to people, so i had to come up with something to have the Scouts make. Because we only had one oven to work with, one of us had to either prebake, or come up with something that didn't need the oven. Like i mentioned, i don't like baking or anything else like that, but i had found some cute melted snowman cookies on pinterest that i thought looked like something i could handle. turns out I'm even more accident-proned than i originally thought. My first attempt was disaster, but the second was alright. i had to pre-bake them due to the oven sharing, but let Connor help me decorate a few to eat and have as an example for the boys. It was a pretty chaotic activity, and my patience level was at zero the entire time, but the cookies got made, and delivered, so i guess you could say it was a success despite my tears over the event.

Connor was patiently waiting to help with decorating...

apparently they looked pretty silly.
this was the final result...please don't judge.

Our second project was done after i decided i  needed to do something fun with our Nursery kids for Christmas. Also thanks to Pinterest, i found a cute hand print ornament to do, that was quite simple. i wanted to make one with Connor as a run through to make sure they worked ok with my supplies. I got a few cute pictures of Connor's face when he saw me pulling out the paint and telling him i needed to borrow his hands lol he was pretty intrigued!
this is the snowman hand print ornament
my little cutie's expression at the paint...

a close up...his turned out very fat because he didn't hold still, but it's still adorable.
I had to take a few pictures of the ones we did with the Nursery kids because they turned out alot better. it's much easier for a three year old to hold their hand still than it is for an 18 month old! I brought them all home to add the snowman features on, and will hand them out this Sunday so they can take them home for Christmas!
