Connor didn't seem to know that it was a special day for him, even though when i woke us up we said "happy birthday, Mr birthday boy!" he just stared at us, but i tried to treat it like an extra fun day despite his indifferent attitude. I gave him a haircut and let him help give sister her bath.
At lunch time Connor decided he wanted more cereal; it gave me a good laugh! It was very important to him to have his sister sit by him...so i put her in her bouncer on the table by him, and sat there too to make sure no catastrophe would occur.
My original plan was to bake his birthday cake in the morning, but i was distracted with the haircut and baths, so it wasn't until the afternoon we made his cake! Daddy had helped pick it out, but Connor got to help make it. he was a very good helper! although, it was pretty obvious he was more excited about the frosting than the cake! haha!
After Daddy came home from work we had dinner. Then after Mommy got back from running to the store we did cake and icecream! Connor wasn't so sure what to do about blowing the candle out, so Daddy helped him. i tried to show him and i would blow but he would just put his finger to his lips and "shhhhhh!" i think he missed the concept a bit haha.
As to be expected, Connor thought the cake was quite tasty! He ate most of his piece and ate icecream too! I wasn't looking forward to cleaning up bright blue frosting, so i took his clothes off of him while he ate. He did a good job limiting the mess to only his face and fingers though!
He also thoroughly enjoyed opening his presents! Even tough there was no big party, we think he had a wonderful birthday!!
