A Week, and Daddy is Home!

It is never fun to be withou Daddy! the second week was harder than the first. Connor started having trouble sleeping at night and would come in crying. we tried to spend as much time as wanted with snuggletime and fun! we went to the store and got father's day presents, we cleaned, and we even did a playdate.

same asthe previous week, i caught several naptime/bedtime pictures of these cuties! apparently it is exhausting being this cute!!!

here are a couple more cute snuggletime pictures!

Evelynn is 8 weeks old today, and will be a month old on Saturday the 22nd! She is out of newborn clothes now and loves holding her head up. she gets made when she can't look around. she loves her tummy time, and her favorite place for it is on someone's chest or tummy. she's getting quite good at it! she has funny face expressions in the pictures thanks to the flash that kept going off in her eyes!

I have been working on watching what i eat and have decided to start working out to lose my leftover baby weight. i wanted to take a picture of where i am starting at so i can look back and compare. at 5 weeks postpartum i had lost 26 of my 40 lbs of baby weight, but i wanted to get down to my prepregnancy weight before Connor, so i set a goal of loosing 30 lbs. i'm not sure where i am at right now, but i have always preferred to see a physical change rather than be paranoid about numbers on a scale. so, this is my starting point. hopefully in a few weeks i can update with a better picture and more accurate numbers!

On Thursday Caleb let us know that he was going to be able to come home Friday night instead of Saturday,! he would have to go back Saturday morning for a closing ceremony/briefing, but families were invited to come to that, so we would be able to go with him! we were quite excited on friday evening to go pick Caleb up, despite having to drive in the heat and rush hour!

On saturday morning we left the house about 7:15 am to go finish up Caleb's yearly two week training. it only took about an hour, then they handed out participaion certificates and Caleb was done. Connor was quite a handful the hour long, but was quite happy to get to leave and take a picture with Daddy! Evelynn slept wonderfully in her carrier. When we got home Caleb was happy to get in comfy clothes and spend some time snuggling with the kids! they all missed eachother!!
