On Monday & Tuesday, our days consisted of cleaning and packing for our trip to Idaho. We were so excited to get to be with family for the holidays!
It snowed a lot, and we were concerned about the roads, so when we woke up that morning we decided to delay our start. It ended up being a super long drive because we left around 11 am, but by the time we got on the road we figured MAYBE the pass was open. The website hadn't been updated in over 6 hours, so we figured it was worth a shot. Well, it wasn't. We had to wait in a super long line where the pass was closed, then turn around and back track. It wasted about 2.5 hours by the time we got on our way around through Pocatello.
It felt like the longest ride of my life by the time we got there. But we were so happy to arrive!
Liam spent some time bonding with his Grandpa West when we got there by napping in his arms.
The next morning we were so happy to wake up to SNOW! Christmas Eve sure was white, which was a great start to Christmas.
Liam did some more napping, this time with Grandma West.
My dad took Caleb, my 2 brothers, my 2 brother-in-laws. and my brother-in-laws 2 brothers to see Star Wars (oh, and Jessica, too), while Grandma built snowmen with her grandkids (besides Liam, who slept in his Auntie's arms instead).
I went out to snatch some pictures of these cuties playing, and to help build the snowmen a bit.
After playing outside, the kids got to decorate some sugar cookies. They all had such fun with it!
Later that afternoon we had a family Christmas party to go to for my dad's side of the family.
I was so exicted to see my cousin who I haven't seen in YEARS.
After the party, Caleb and I took the kids to see Santa. We had promised them they could see him, but we hadn't been able to before our trip. As you can see, Connor was thrilled. Eva screamed until she got a candy cane, and Liam was ticked we woke him from his nap for a creepy guy in a suit. HAHA!
Later we did a Nativity with the kids and their cousins, but I took no pictures of it. It was recorded though, but I don't have it. Eva screamed the whole way through it (she was supposed to be Mary), so the whole thing was rather amusing.
After the Nativity, they got to open PJ's from Grandma & Grandpa.
The next morning the kids were so excited to hear it was Christmas AGAIN. I didn't take very many pictures, but I promise there were smiles galore.
Their presents were a big hit!
Saturday my parents took all of us kids and our families to Givens Hot Springs. It was Liam's first time swimming! My kids all had a blast!
After the hot springs we went and saw Caleb's mom, and then finished things up at Caleb's dad's.
Sunday I took the kids to church with my family.
I definitely should have taken my socks off for these pics, but I'm glad I have them. Love these cute kids of mine!
On Monday we had some errands to run. Later that evening Caleb and I went to pick out my Christmas present, which was a new ring! I was pretty excited about picking one out again!
Tuesday we headed up to Pinetop, which I will post about soon!
We hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as we did!
