My Grandparents sometimes rent out a Girl's Camp Lodge up in Idaho City. The last time we were able to be there for it was when I was pregnant with Connor, so we were thrilled to take the kids up and do some sledding in all the snow!
Caleb helped shovel a path the first day. There was quite a bit of snow!
That evening I went out and did some sledding with Evelynn and Melinda, but we have no pictures of it. I can tell you that I wiped out good a time or two, AND on one sled run I got some serious air. My sister said she wished she had a video or pic of it!
The next day we all started out the day early with sledding. The kids had so much fun! I REALLY slacked off with pictures, but thankfully I do have a few and two videos.
Later in the evening, Melinda and I went off on a snowshoeing adventure. Melinda was determined for us to go up the ridge to a rocky spot we call the alter, since it has an alter of stones and a bench.
When we go to the top, we took a nice rest, admired the view, snapped some selfies, and then decided to head back down.
On our way down, I slipped and started sliding down the steep trail. I was pretty panicked, because Melinda was ahead of me and I thought I was going to knock my pregnant sister down the mountain! My leg was twisted behind me and my attempts to stop came up empty. Eventually I did stop, but I was pretty freaked out. My cousin saw the whole thing down below and was pretty concerned about it. Our dad told us we needed to go back up and around the ridge and come down further in the valley, so we did.
We hadn't anticipated our hike to be so long, but it sure was pretty. I'm not sure I'm cut out for snow-shoeing ( I fell multiple times and just wanted down the darn mountain), but we sure got some beautiful views up there! When we got back, my dad said we probably did 2 miles total in the snow. :-)
I was pretty worn out after the hike so I didn't take many more pictures, but I did snag a copy of these from my sis, since they were so cute!
My mom and aunt:
My cousin's snow dragon. It was SO COOL!
We came back home on the 31st, so our morning consisted of getting down the mountain (my dad had to take us since we don't have 4WD), getting home, and then doing some fun celebrating for New Year's Eve.
My sister's family got cute party celebration stuff, and we snapped pictures of the kids.
On a side note, Evelynn was wearing Melinda's old dress! We had matching ones. Mine was blue though. Doesn't it look like everyone was having a blast?!
Jessica had gone home the day before to be with her hubby, but we missed her.
We thought we all kinda matched cute, so we got a picture.
The next day we got some errands done, then spent time with Melinda's family. Melinda and I took my two youngest and went shopping, then after returning to my parent's house for dinner, my mom joined us for more shopping. It was such fun! The guys got to play games while we were out.
After that, we had to pack for our departure the next morning. My kids got sick again though, which made more hardly any sleep for me, so I was pretty tired when we got on the road.
We had such an amazing time though! We love all our family in Idaho, and are so happy we got to spend time with everyone.

AHHH I love your blogging! Also you seriously did get a ton of air that night sledding, it was awesome, or as Michael would say, EPIC! WE miss you guys already!!!
