My mom brought Connor and Evelynn to the hospital to see us and meet their baby brother the morning following Liam's birth.
Evelynn was curious about this "baby brother", and didn't mind sitting near him and checking him out. Connor, on the other hand, was really panicked over the situation. Grandma had prepped him that he would need to be soft and that mommy might be owie, but he was still incredibly concerned when he saw the IV in my arm. He wouldn't come near me or baby brother for the first little while.
We eventually were able to coax Connor near enough to me and baby brother that we could grab a family picture.
And of course, we got some pictures of Grandma with these little grandkids that she came all the way to Arizona for!
Grandma got Connor to touch and hold baby brother, and I was excited to see him calming down a bit and not looking so panicked by this new, big change.
Although he doesn't look thrilled by baby brother, Daddy helped him and sissy hold baby, and then I was even able to get a picture with Connor and Evelynn and Liam.
That evening we had Daddy go home and put the kids to bed, and he brought each of them a new toy for being so good for Grandma! Grandma had taken them to the store after visiting us and they planned to get something each, but the power went out, and they were unable to get all the things on their shopping list. So, we just had daddy take care of it. Connor got a motorcycle hot-wheels track, and Evelynn got a baby bath set for her baby dolls.
