If you recall from my last post, my kids have been pretty sick. Evelynn was on antibiotics for 10 days for her pneumonia, and on the 26th when I was about to get ready for church, Evelynn was climbing on me telling me her tummy hurt. I had just gotten Liam alseep, and the next thing I knew, I was being thrown up on... I had to call for Caleb to come up and help me move Liam so I could get myself and the bed cleaned up, as well as get Evelynn in a bath. As soon as she was cleaned up, she laid down on the clean sheets and fell asleep. Liam was wheezing again as well, so I was pretty sad that my kids weren't doing as well as I had hoped and that we missed all of church AGAIN.
Monday when we woke up, this kid seemed to be doing much better, so we went ahead and did swim lessons as planned. I should mention that although they were feeling well, I on the other hand, was not. I woke up with a headache that I figured just meant I hadn't slept well.
As the day progressed, the headache got worse and worse until it turned into a full blown migraine that had me curled up on the floor with my head under a pillow just willing my children to be quiet. It hurt too much to talk though, and I was too dizzy to move, so it was just a rather frustrating situation. After a few hours, it subsided enough that I was up and walking around for a little while. I still don't know what exactly prompted that migraine, but it was miserable. I didn't end up getting the errands done I had needed to, so that was a little frustrating.
Tuesday was swim lessons again, but thankfully headache free this time.
Wednesday wasn't much different, although the weather was much cooler. It was cloudy and breezy, so my kids were kind of freezing throughout the process.
If you remember, Wednesdays are our daycare volunteer day. We had a bit of a chaotic day because I was supposed to have an appointment I was going to have to bring the kids to because I couldn't find a babysitter, but then when I arrived at the appointment I learned they were running an hour behind time, so I had to reschedule. This resulted in some cutely dressed kids, but a tired mommy.
That night my kids were fighting bedtime BAD. Caleb was home early though, so I fed the kids a bit early and invested my effort into trying to get them asleep. End result -- our baby learned to climb of the spare bed. Watch the video and you'll see how proud he was of himself. He was exhausted, but determined to climb.
Thursday arrived bringing the LAST day of swim lessons! I had decided it would be good if I brought my camera and took some pictures of the kids that were more than just blurry, distant pics. I've decided I really do need a zoom lens, though. (Guess I know what's doing on my Christmas list).
BTW, that cute girly in the background is the one I mentioned in the previous post about Liam's little "girlfriend". Isn't she a cutie?! She would come full speed saying "muah".
Because it was the LAST day of swim, the last 10 minutes were free-play and they turned on the slides and splash pads and all the fun stuff. Evelynn wasn't thrilled (she was cold), but Connor had a blast going down the slides with his teacher! Liam wasn't particularly impressed by anything, but that's ok. :-)
At the end of lessons, my kiddos were chilled and ready to head home!
I had them take a couple pictures for the scrapbook though on the way out!
June was overall, a busy, but wonderful month full of fun activities! :-) My kids loved swimming and can't wait until next summer to do it again!
