Garden Party

Idaho Trip, Aug 12th, (Tues)

On Tuesday the 12th, Melinda (my big sister) and I had plans to host a garden party.
We were so excited about our themed party. It was inspired by Anne of Green Gables, but we branched out and made it a very sophisticated look -- our interpretation of the kind of garden party that would have been during that Victorian/Edwardian era.
Melinda did all the decor (isn't it fabulous?!) and my mom and I took care of the food.

There were so many little details to the decor that I could never have imagined up.
That is probably why I just leave that whole thing to the sister that is much better in that area! :)

All my contributions were much less complex, but I think they were still thoroughly enjoyed.
(I didn't make the chicken salad sandwiches though... I just neglected to take pictures of other food!)

We got to eat, discuss some favorite literary pieces, and take lots of pictures!

Two of my beautiful Sister-in-laws came to the party.
My baby girl thoroughly enjoyed our "girly party", and we had her wear a hat that belonged to me when I was a little girl!

My sister captured some adorable pictures of Evelynn putting her hat on my head.
Mother/Daughter scrapbook page maybe?!?! I think it's worthy of one.

We let the little boys join in at the party when they wanted to, because we're awesome mother's like that. Atleast that's what I'm telling myself. :)

Here are a few more pictures of our Garden Party fun!

You may be wondering what the husbands were doing during this time... so here's the answer to that one: hanging out, playing board games with the little brother.

After the party finished up there was some cute opportunities for pictures, because aunts and/or uncles are a ton of fun for little kids.
My kids had so much fun having aunts and uncles around... Caleb's sister's and my brother were so much fun with them. Connor didn't even mind sharing his auntie with his cousin!
