August 14-16th (Thurs, Fri, Sat)
After a crazy busy Wednesday welcoming my sister home, Thursday was much more low-key.
Caleb headed to Utah with his sisters and Mom to attend the wedding of one of his cousins, and I stayed in Idaho with the kids.
Judging from pictures, Caleb didn't miss us too horribly. :)
He seemed to have a great time seeing family! (and yes, I'm well aware that my husband is a goof!)
Meanwhile, I went to see a good friend of mine and her little boy and see their cute little house!
I neglected to take pictures of that as well... but I relived my youth and got lost going to her home.
I did that A LOT in high school. Apparently old habits die hard, although it was a completely different house I was going to. I shouldn't have been too hard to find with a GPS, but my, oh, maybe 20 minute drive ended up being a 50 minute one, around Lake Lowell, around Lizard Butte, and then finally to her house. EMBARRASSING!
After returning to my parent's home later that day I got to do some more hair for two of my cousins.
Caleb returned home later that night, but he said he had a great time.
Early the next morning, around 3 AM, I woke up and he was sitting on the couch not feeling well AT ALL.
We had plans to go to the mountains with my family and extended family, but because Caleb wasn't feeling well, we had to miss out on those plans. I let Caleb sleep in until nearly noon the next day before he said he was feeling better, and we decided to take the kids over to my sister's and brother-in-law's house.
They got a little trampoline that the kids loved playing in, as well as playing with cars in the backyard!Connor even washed a car using the hose, which he thought was super cool.
After hanging out for a little while we decided that the dad's could stay there with the two older boys and play video games while Melinda and I would take the younger two kids and go shopping!
After we came back we ordered Pizza and hung out for a while longer.
Then I got tired, so I took the kids back home with Caleb hung out with Mitchell.
When my family came home from the mountains, they decided to wash the car, which Connor and Evelynn were THRILLED to get to help with!
Saturday the 16th was a busy one.
My family, my parent's family, my grandparent's, and my aunt and uncle's family all went to Celebration Park. When we got out there we went on a little hike.
After the Petroglyplis trail we hiked to the Bridge.
Connor loved hiking and wanted to hike ahead with Grandpa, while Evelynn hung back with Mommy and Daddy.
After our second short little hike, we got to throw Atlatl's (prehistoric darts, before the bow and arrow was created).
I think everyone enjoyed it! Especially my Connor. He thought it was SO cool, and screeched in excitement every time he got to throw one. Even Evelynn got to throw some, with assistance from Grandpa, of course!
After Atlatl throwing, it was time for lunch.
What a pretty view while we ate!

After lunch the group split up a bit; half of us went to Given's Hot Springs (which I did not take a picture of), and the rest went back to my parent's house to make Huckleberry Jam.
We went swimming and had a blast!
After returning home, I sent Caleb off to hang out with Mitchell and Joseph (I think they went golfing), the parents went to the temple, and Melinda, Jessica, me, and our cousin Emily stayed with the kids and watched The Great Gatsby. The kids played outside before falling asleep, but everyone had a blast!
Aren't my nephews cuties?!
Kayden wasn't thrilled Evelynn was wearing his shoes... but Eli was a little gentleman and helped her but them back on when they fell off!
My next update with our second week of our visit will come soon!

You got so many cute pictures! Some of my kids too which i greatly appreciate! We miss you guys so much already! Hugs sent from Idaho to you all!
