Well, we are back home from our visit to Idaho. I will be blogging about our adventure in Idaho as the week goes on, but am starting with the beginnings of August, before our trip took place.
As August started, I came to the conclusion that it was time to change my hair again. I had plans for family pictures during our visit to Idaho, and I would either need to touch up the highlights, or change my color. Changing it was much quicker, so I decided on an auburn color. At first Caleb said he missed the blonde, but afterwards he decided he liked the reddish color better.
Both my kids came down with ear infections right before our trip as well. On Thursday the 31st of July we took Connor in and he had an ear infection in his left ear, and the very next day Evelynn started acting like she had one as well, but we had to wait until the following Monday to get her in office hours. We took her in first thing Monday morning (the 4th) and she had one in her right ear. Connor had been given a shot since he doesn't take antibiotics well, but Evelynn was given Amoxicillin.
She looked so cute and was making me laugh over how she demanded to wear her sunglasses as we left the house, just like her big brother.
On Tuesday we had Connor's meet the teacher for Preschool so we went to play at a friend's house and the kids had a blast playing in the water table.
On Wednesday I finished the final touches on my very first headband sell.
What an exciting first for me!
Thursday the 7th of August was Connor's very first day of Preschool. I was so nervous for him!
I couldn't help but cry when dropping him off. He absolutely loved it though.
Evelynn and I went to the library after dropping Connor off at Preschool and Daddy off at work. I like to think that she had a wonderful time as well.
When we picked big brother up from Preschool they both fell asleep in the car so I know they were both thoroughly worn out!
Friday was to be an extremely busy day for us. Caleb went in early to work (6 AM) so that he would be off early to head to the airport, Connor had Preschool at 9, and Evelynn and I went to the Fiesta Mall play area and the Dobson Library while he was at school.
After picking Connor up from Preschool we had to head home, do final cleaning, final packing, and prepare for our trip that we would begin that very evening.
