Connor had Fall Break mid-October, and I had REALLY wanted to take a visit up to Idaho to meet the new baby (our first Barthlome nephew!) and be there for my little sister's gender reveal. Caleb didn't really want to go, so I made plans to head up the 19th.
If you remember from my September post, my kids had nasty diarrhea/vomiting bug mid-October when I posted. Thankfully they did recover in time for us to follow-thru with our plans, but unfortunately, they gave it to their daddy. He ended up home sick while we were gone.
On Thursday (the 20th) the kids and I went to see Grandma West's book fair -- The Bookaneer's. My mom had the cutest pirate ship stuff made for it!
That evening we went over to Grandma Anderson's for some pre-Halloween celebrating,
The kids had a blast, of course!
Friday I had quite a bit of homework to do, and I wanted to let the kids spend some time outdoors. They're always so cooper up at home, so the luxury of having a backyard to send them out needed to be utilized. But I ended up coming to snap pictures because they were SO CUTE out there playing!
Friday evening my little sis and brother-in-law got in to town and we did their gender reveal. If you didn't see on her Facebook, IT'S A GIRL! We're finally getting a niece! And Evelynn won't be the only granddaughter (on both sides of families)!
Saturday (the 22nd) was extremely busy for us, but we started out the day at Linder Farms with the whole West family! My dad treated us all and got the kids wristbands to do pretty much anything. They have a really nice military discount there, and the kids were beyond thrilled!
I have tons more pictures, but only added the highlights.
After Linder Farms, the kids and I had to head to Boise for a birthday party. I didn't have any pictures of that one, but the kids loved it and had tons of fun playing!
After that, we had to head further in to Boise to meet the kids' new cousin!
While I did some serious baby holding, the kids were learning all sorts of things from Uncle Parker -- of course! That grin shows how much they loved it!
They were so excited to hold "baby Hudson", as they love to call him.
After we finished up there, we headed back to Grandpa and Grandma's house for a quick dinner before heading to a Halloween party of my aunts and uncles.
As you can probably assume, after a day like that, there was exhaustion to the highest degree happening.
We were all pretty ready to head home to Daddy the next morning.
It was a blast of a trip, though!
