Monday May 18 & Tuesday May 19
On Monday night Caleb and I were invited to attend the setting apart of his sister. This is when a missionary becomes an official missionary and receives a special blessing. I was so proud of her and so happy to see the excitement on her face about this experience she will get to have in the next 18 months! She will teach the gospel in the Osorno Chile Mission.
It was scheduled for 9 PM, so we put Connor to bed and attempted to get Evelynn down as well before we went to the setting apart. The kids would have been too rowdy for something that I think should maintain an air of reverence. Caleb and I took one last picture with the official Hermana Barthlome before heading back home.
Hermama Barthlome had an early flight the next morning so the kids and I did not go to see her off, but Caleb did. I was so glad he was able to go with the rest of his family and show support for his little sister. He was up by 3:30 AM on Tuesday to get ready for the day, head to his mom's house to meet up with everyone else, and drive into Boise.
