My updates have become increasingly far behind. I've been in a really intense class that is just now starting to wind down. Hopefully I will be able to get caught up again soon and stay more up-to-date with our families little adventures.
In April I was "training" for a 5k run with my big sister. I was doing pretty well keeping up with my habits, although I realized running on a treadmill is very different than running outside. As a resuts, I was trying to run outside more.
My time in the daycare of the gym was coming to a close. With the amount of stress and homework I've had from school, I wasn't making it to the gym at all except to watch kids. After a lot of thought, prayer, and discussion with the hubs, I came to the conclusion that it was time to stop. But I do hope to go back next year after I finish school and have a little more time on my hands.
We did a playdate at the Harrisville park with firiends, and the kids had a blast. We hadn't known there were swings there. I think they're relatively new. Needless to say, it was a very exciting realization!
I wish i could remember exactly why I felt the need to snap this picture. Maybe he was being sweet and mellow...maybe he was sick. Maybe he was worn out by the playdate we had. Maybe there was no reason at all. But regardless of that, he's my sweet little baby so you're forced to admire him.
Evelynn had some pig events coming up and we decided to try her hair in horrendous pink curlers. She was so excited! She doesn't often get her hair curled because it's naturally curly, but I knew I wouldn't have time to fix it all before her aunt's wedding and wanted to test it out. Can you see how pleased she was?
On the 9th we got a small spattering of snow. It was quite strange to see it in April!
Connor made huge strides with his reading and math skills during Kindergarten. Even his teacher was impressed with his test scores!
What was NOT so impressive though, was his skills at getting into trouble. He recruited his siblings to help him tear apart all the beds in the house afterwards.
This little boy got himself into a world of trouble by tearing apart a brand new book (we only had it 3 months). And then he fell asleep. I searched everywhere for him, panicking until i saw his little toe peeking around the corner of the couch. silly goose! i guess he knew he was in trouble.
The next day we headed up to Idaho which you can read about here.
When we returned from our Idaho adventure, we had plenty more excitement waiting to occur. April was a very busy month for us (as was May, but we'll get to that in it's own time).
On the 18th, this kid got all the pillows and threw them down the stairs so he could "dive" from the stairs into his "swimming pool" of pillows. If I could insert and exhausted emoticon here, I totally would.
On the 21st, I had to make another documentation of the strange places my child thinks it's comfortable to sleep.
The 22nd was our little girl's birthday, but we started it out with big brother's soccer game.
Her birthday festivities will come in another post for the sake of length. This one's already getting long as is, and I've left 3 big events out of it!

On the 23rd this girly got to give her very first talk in Primary! She was so excited and I was super proud of her.
On Monday the 24th we had her 4-year well-visit. She is growing so big!
The next day was super exciting for us.... Evelynn had dance picture day! She was so excited about getting ready. And her pictures turned about ADORBS! (I'll share in another post)
Once again, I have no idea what was so exciting about this day. But the pictures were too cute to resist posting. Well, atleast the ones of my daughter. The boys were NOT pleased, and they refused to cooperate.
The next day we started an exciting weekend with cousins that you will have to read about here. We stayed at my cousin's house Friday night and Melinda and I did our Tulip Run the next morning, and then all of our families went the Tulip Festival.
