Easter/Wedding Weekend in Idaho - April 13 through 17

On Thursday the 13th we headed up to Idaho.
We left after Caleb got off work and the weather was pretty wet and snowy through the pass.

Friday morning I woke up and headed to do hair for the wedding! I didn't take a single picture of her hair. I must have been in too big of a rush, but I felt like she looked beautiful!
While I was getting her hair done, we looked up and saw it snowing outside. SNOWING IN MID-APRIL IN BOISE! That's kind of unheard of. When I got back to my parent's house I saw that it was even accumulating on the ground a bit.

The drive to Boise was soooooo foggy and wet!

The new Mr & Mrs Eastmond!

After the temple we went to a beautiful luncheon by the groom's family, then we did some touch ups on the Bride and helped her get back in to her dress. Then some last minute Bridals were grabbed in gorgeous lighting. I saw the cutest picture on Instagram that I snagged from the amazing photographer, my sweet sister-in-law Katelyn! (Sorry about the lack of a heads up, Katelyn. It was too cute to not put here!)

The reception was beautifully put together as well!

We had quite a laugh when I was getting the Bride ready and Macie brings Liam in with a lime in his mouth.... she said a few of the wedding party had thought it would be funny to see his face, but then he bit down and refused to let go. AND THEN HE FELL ASLEEP LIKE THAT!!!!! Caleb laid him down on our coats so he could sleep but everyone who walked by was laughing and taking pictures.
I guess he partied too hard.

The next day was my cousin's wedding. Melinda and I both caught a ride to the temple with our parents, and we laughed when we walked in and a lady asked if we were twins. We haven't got that in years!!! We decided we really needed a picture together in honor of it. And we had to get a picture with our parents, too!

After the temple, we took the kids over to Grandma Anderson's for some help unloading the wedding stuff and a quick Easter egg hunt. The kids were so excited about it, of course!

Next up was my cousin's reception. The kids thought the decorations were beautiful, and Evelynn had a blast dancing with Olivia! Maybe it won't surprise you to hear that I chose to find baby Kensley to hold. And we matched outfits so perfectly a picture HAD to happen! I am loving living in the same state as my cousin Elizabeth so our kids can play together and we can hang out more than we did before!

After the reception ended we (Grandma, Melinda, & I) sat the kids down for some egg decorating.

After all the kids were in bed, Melinda and I decided it would be fun to go see a girls movie. The guys hadn't been able to find a movie they wanted to see, so we figured it was our chance and we should jump at it. We decided to go see Beauty & the Beast and we were so glad our wonderful mother decided to come with us!!

On Easter morning we all headed to my parent's ward. And you may be wondering why I took a selfie.... and the answer is because that dark sleeve next to me you can hardly see belonged to Caleb! He went with us, and we joined my sister and brother-in-law in nursery which is their calling. So, the selfie was to document the big, huge smile I had that day. I forgot how nice it is to sit next to your hubby at church.

My parents have this tradition of taking family pictures on Easter Sunday. This is the second year in a row we were in Idaho for Easter, so my kids were familiar, though begrudging, about the idea.

After church we headed out to my Aunt & Uncle's house for an Easter get-together.
Basically, my kids thought their house was the coolest place ever.

AAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD there was definitely a giant Easter egg hunt.

We had to head home to get back to work and school, but Caleb loves me so much that he took the following Monday off so that we could not rush back and stop and see Shoshone Falls on our way home instead.

It worked out quite nicely because my mom needed us to drive a car to Twin for them that they would pick up the following weekend. So, we were able to help them out, see the Falls, AND have lunch with Grandma West and smash pennies there!

We got home in the late afternoon and everyone was exhausted, but it was a busy, wonderful trip we were so glad to be a part of!
